Into the Mortal World” is a 2024 Chinese animated fantasy film directed by Ding Zhong. The story draws inspiration from the classic Chinese myth of Niu Lang and Zhi Nv, known in English as the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. The narrative centers on Jinfeng, the son of Niu Lang and Zhi Nv, whose mother has been wrongfully accused of a crime and exiled from the celestial realm. Determined to clear his mother’s name, Jinfeng embarks on a perilous journey to the mortal world to collect 28 star spirits as atonement for her alleged sins.
